Registered Nurse, RN - Perianesthesia (Periop/PACU)

Location: Tufts Medical Center, United States; onsite role with day/night rotating shifts

Pay range: $43.01–$70.95 per hour

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate, patient- and family-centered care.
• Develop individualized care plans and coordinate interdisciplinary communication, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Perform nursing procedures and treatments according to unit guidelines and professional standards.
• Administer medications safely and assess patient responses using pharmacology knowledge and department standards.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families while supporting culturally sensitive care.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, performance improvement, and shared governance activities.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current licensure must be maintained in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act.
• Department-relevant certifications such as ACLS or PALS may be required.
• Ability to provide care across the lifespan and manage emergency, crisis, irregular-hour, and physically demanding situations.
• Ability to collaborate with nursing, physician, case management, and other interdisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Specialty nursing certifications.
