LPN Outpatient - Pulmonary, MelroseWakefield Hospital

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital, 585 Lebanon St. Suite 401, Melrose, MA, United States. Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30, with flexibility for office hours.

Pay range: $30.00–$33.59 per hour. Sign-on bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Provide nursing care, medications, treatments, and interventions under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Deliver direct outpatient care while maintaining patient safety, rights, dignity, and continuity of care.
• Assess and manage pain, document care, and report changes in patient condition promptly.
• Educate patients and families about activities of daily living, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document interventions and patient responses in medical records.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience depends on unit requirements and needs.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, pharmacology, medication administration, and age-appropriate patient care.
• Effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare colleagues.
• Ability to handle patient transfers, prolonged standing or walking, emergency situations, and exposure to clinical hazards.

Nice to have

• CPR instructor certification.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
