UK&I Strategy Lead (FMCG)

Location: London - The Shard, UK; flexible hybrid working is available, including the ability to work from abroad.

hirify.global is a large FMCG company with a UK&I business unit and regional European and Pacific Markets operations.

What you will do

• Lead the five-person in-house Strategy Consulting team and act as a trusted strategy partner to the UK&I and zone Leadership Teams.
• Shape the long-term direction of the UK&I business in partnership with the UK&I CFO, Managing Director, and senior stakeholders.
• Lead and project-manage major strategic initiatives supporting the UK&I business unit strategy.
• Diagnose complex business problems, conduct outside-in research, and generate strategic insights through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Develop recommendations across brand strategy, foodservice, benchmarking, new market entry, and investment priorities.
• Influence cross-functional teams to adopt and execute recommendations.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience, including significant experience in strategy.
• Strategy experience in a top-tier consultancy or major FMCG environment is required; applicants without this experience will not be considered.
• Experience in strategy, project management, or in-house consulting.
• Strong strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, work with large and messy datasets, and turn imperfect data into actionable recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree minimum, with strong communication, stakeholder interview, synthesis, and collaboration skills.
