Senior Software Engineer, Information Security (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Onsite at the ISD Office in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000 USD, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise security services for security configuration and controls.
• Analyze systems and business processes to implement secure solutions aligned with customer requirements.
• Build agents and agentic coding workflows to accelerate feature development on existing services.
• Provide support, fix bugs within defined SLAs, and manage operational activities.
• Conduct testing, debugging, code reviews, alert monitoring, and system availability improvements.
• Communicate technical findings and lead incident response meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5 years of IT experience within the past 10 years, or 7 years of relevant experience within the past 10 years.
• Knowledge of information security, security controls, secure software development, threats, and vulnerabilities in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in SDLC processes, application security best practices, service development, REST APIs, system operations, and agile practices.
• Strong cloud security, cloud computing, and secure-systems scalability skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Java, SQL, and Spring Boot.
• Experience leading technical problem resolution and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, GSEC, GIAC certifications, or Security+.
• Experience leading technical teams, working with mainframe technology, or using SAP.
• Experience with version control software such as Git or Subversion.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
