Supply Chain Performance Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Nogara, Verona, Italy. Primarily office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers; travel of up to 25% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead the review, validation, and approval of PPAP submissions, including PSWs, dimensional reports, control plans, PFMEAs, certifications, test results, and MSA studies.
• Own Supplier Change Requests end-to-end, including risk assessment, validation, approval workflows, revision control, and audit readiness.
• Monitor supplier KPIs such as PPM, OTD, NCRs, and responsiveness; build dashboards, analyze trends, and lead performance reviews.
• Initiate SCAR and 8D processes, define supplier improvement plans, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Own supplier quality deliverables for new product development at the Hinowa plant, supporting APQP, supplier readiness, launches, and ramp-up.
• Validate supplier capability, capacity, and quality systems while applying Lean methods and continuous improvement events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Supply Chain Engineering.
• Strong expertise in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and change management processes.
• Experience managing supplier quality in an OEM, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with supplier performance metrics and data analysis, including PPM and OTD.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification, or Quality Core Tools certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, and PPAP platforms.
• Strong data analysis skills with Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
