TL;DR
Supply Chain Performance Engineer (Automotive): Ensuring supplier quality and performance across Aerial Work Platforms through PPAP, supplier change control, KPI analytics, and supplier industrialization with an accent on compliance, corrective actions, and new product launch readiness. Focus on validating supplier documentation, analyzing PPM and OTD trends, leading SCAR and 8D processes, and mitigating supplier risks during development and production ramp-up.
Location: Nogara, Verona, Italy. Primarily office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers; travel of up to 25% may be required.

What you will do
- Lead the review, validation, and approval of PPAP submissions, including PSWs, dimensional reports, control plans, PFMEAs, certifications, test results, and MSA studies.
- Own Supplier Change Requests end-to-end, including risk assessment, validation, approval workflows, revision control, and audit readiness.
- Monitor supplier KPIs such as PPM, OTD, NCRs, and responsiveness; build dashboards, analyze trends, and lead performance reviews.
- Initiate SCAR and 8D processes, define supplier improvement plans, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Own supplier quality deliverables for new product development at the Hinowa plant, supporting APQP, supplier readiness, launches, and ramp-up.
- Validate supplier capability, capacity, and quality systems while applying Lean methods and continuous improvement events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Supply Chain Engineering.
- Strong expertise in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and change management processes.
- Experience managing supplier quality in an OEM, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience with supplier performance metrics and data analysis, including PPM and OTD.
Nice to have
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification, or Quality Core Tools certification.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, and PPAP platforms.
- Strong data analysis skills with Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
