What you will do
- Act as the main purchasing liaison for project and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and manage procurement strategies for complex products and multi-category projects.
- Coordinate sourcing of critical components and services with project management and operations.
- Lead project-specific contract negotiations and manage supplier risks and performance.
- Support cost transparency, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor procurement budgets and report project-related costs to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Commercial or technical university education.
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in project-driven or industrial environments.
- Experience managing procurement for complex products or multi-category projects.
- Advanced supplier negotiation, contract management, risk assessment, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP.
- Fluency in German and English is required. Willingness to travel is also required.
Nice to have
- Experience in automotive, machinery, or systems engineering.
- Experience in international matrix organizations and multicultural project teams.
- Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
