What you will do

• Serve as the primary liaison between the purchasing department and cross-functional project teams.
• Develop and execute project-specific procurement strategies to meet technical and budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate the sourcing of critical components and services for complex engineering projects.
• Lead negotiations for project-specific contracts to minimize risks and secure favorable terms.
• Monitor procurement costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with category managers to adapt global strategies to local project requirements.

Requirements

• University degree in a commercial or technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing within an industrial or project-driven environment.
• Fluency in both English and German.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Strong background in supplier negotiation, contract management, and risk assessment.
• Ability to work effectively within international matrix organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in the automotive, machinery, or systems engineering industries.
• Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
