Coating Specialist (Offshore)

What you will do

• Supervise and inspect surface preparation, painting, coating, and corrosion protection for offshore structures, modules, piping, pressure vessels, and equipment.
• Verify environmental conditions, surface cleanliness, surface profile, wet and dry film thickness, holiday detection, adhesion, salt contamination, curing, and visual coating quality.
• Review coating procedures, method statements, inspection and test plans, quality records, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor coating systems for splash zones, submerged structures, and atmospheric areas, including touch-up and repair activities.
• Maintain inspection records, prepare punch lists and quality dossiers, and manage coating-related NCRs, observations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with ADNOC Offshore representatives, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, and project quality teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of coating inspection experience in oil and gas, EPC, offshore, or petrochemical projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on ADNOC Offshore projects or equivalent major offshore developments.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 certification is mandatory.
• Experience with offshore jackets and topsides, pipelines and risers, pressure vessels, structural steel, modules, skids, fabrication yards, and offshore installation activities.
• Knowledge of ADNOC Offshore, NACE, SSPC, ISO 12944, ISO 8501, ASTM coating inspection, ISO 9001, and offshore corrosion protection standards.

Nice to have

• NACE CIP Level 3 certification.
• BGAS Grade 2 Painting Inspector certification.
• CSWIP Painting Inspector certification.
