Senior Specialist - Projects (APC)

What you will do

• Lead the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and operational support of Advanced Process Control systems based on AspenTech or Honeywell.
• Perform onsite step testing, site visits, and data collection for process and well operations.
• Develop and implement dynamic linear models and multivariable predictive control strategies for real-time production optimization.
• Review contractor I&C, OPC, and APC engineering designs, test procedures, installation progress, quality, safety, and standards compliance.
• Coordinate with IT/OT, Digital Oil Fields teams, clients, suppliers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare progress reports, maintain variation records, and verify commissioning documentation, O&M manuals, and handover packages.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Advanced Process Control and at least 5 years of onsite installation, configuration, and support experience as a lead engineer.
• Degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering, Process Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
• Mandatory knowledge of Distributed Control Systems, OT/IT network architecture, and OPC servers; knowledge of OSI PI historian is required.
• Experience completing all stages of projects, including installation, commissioning, handover, and operational support.
• Ability to work in project environments constrained by cost and schedule and coordinate with contractors and site engineers.
• Strong commitment to applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and ADNOC requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Honeywell, Yokogawa, Schneider, Siemens, or ABB systems.
• Firewall configuration experience.
• Previous CICPA and Optima experience.
• Knowledge of ADNOC HSE safety standards and requirements.
