Intern/Co-op - Accounting

Location: Findlay, Ohio; additional locations include Denver, Colorado, and San Antonio, Texas. On-site work requires reliable transportation to and from the workplace. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $20.19–$25.24 per hour.

What you will do

• Complete on-the-job training in petroleum industry operations, accounting assignments, and relevant software.
• Analyze and process business documents and accounting and financial data.
• Prepare financial statement journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare tax information and assist with budgets.
• Test SOX and non-SOX controls as part of audit and assurance activities.
• Collaborate with departments outside the Controller’s Organization.

Requirements

• Accounting major required.
• Strong academic performance and concurrent enrollment in a bachelor’s or higher degree program throughout the internship.
• US work authorization is required without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during the experience.
• Reliable transportation to the work location is required.

Nice to have

• Military experience.
• For audit assurance and advisory services, accounting majors are preferred, though other business majors may be considered.
