Sports Reporter / Co-Host (Gold and Blue Nation)

Location: WV-Clarksburg, 904 West Pike Street, with the position based in Morgantown, West Virginia. Requires in-person coverage of games, practices, press conferences, special events, promotional appearances, and travel as needed.

What you will do

• Report daily on West Virginia University athletics, including football, basketball, baseball, and other Mountaineer programs.
• Produce television reports, live shots, feature stories, digital articles, website content, and social media coverage.
• Co-host coaches shows, digital streams, podcasts, Mountaineer GameDay, and other specialty programming.
• Write, shoot, edit, and publish multimedia stories using Adobe Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro.
• Generate content ideas that increase audience engagement and growth across television, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Build relationships with coaches, athletes, university officials, sports information personnel, producers, photographers, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Sports Media, or a related field preferred.
• Previous sports reporting, anchoring, or multimedia journalism experience preferred.
• Strong on-camera presence, storytelling, writing, interviewing, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of college athletics and college football preferred, with the ability to react quickly to breaking news and meet deadlines.
• Experience shooting and editing video, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro, and knowledge of AP Style.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
