Structured Product Bond Trader

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office and flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Base salary: $115,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Execute structured product fixed income trades authorized by Portfolio Managers, primarily covering agency mortgages and CLOs.
• Provide market insight, trends, technical analysis, and relative value perspectives to Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and traders.
• Represent the trading function in portfolio management, research, market update, and strategy meetings.
• Maintain databases tracking secondary trading levels, dealer bids and offers, and cover bids.
• Work with street counterparties by aggregating axes, collecting and distributing market color, and executing trades.
• Apply client guidelines and restrictions through pre-trade compliance checks and support ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of experience with structured product securities, preferably agency mortgages or CLOs in a buy-side environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, computer, communication, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, macro implementation, and Bloomberg.
• Ability to interact with and take direction from senior investment professionals.
• Inquisitive interest in all aspects of the fixed income markets and ability to work effectively as a self-motivated team player.
• Valid United States work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with BlackRock Solutions' Aladdin OMS.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
