Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem (Night Shift)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Part-time night shifts, generally 12 hours, providing on-site respiratory care.

What you will do

• Provide respiratory care for infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients according to physician orders and protocols.
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen, chest physiotherapy, airway clearance, and hyperinflation therapy.
• Assess patients, interpret laboratory results, draw and analyze arterial blood gases, and contribute to patient education.
• Initiate and adjust invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation according to protocols and physician orders.
• Participate in trauma, critical assessment, critical care transport, CPR, and airway management.
• Assist with fiberoptic bronchoscopy and conduct apnea tests for brain-death determination.

Requirements

• Associate degree and successful completion of the CRT or RRT examination.
• New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner license required at the date of hire.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS required within six months.
• Competence in procedures involving newborn and pediatric patients.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• NBRC RRT-ACCS credential.
