Location: The Met Fifth Avenue, New York, NY; employees must live in commuting distance within New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania and be able to commute to the Museum in a single day.
Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually.

What you will do
- Manage estate administration in consultation with Counsel's Office and Finance.
- Develop and distribute planned giving marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and direct appeals.
- Track bequest intentions and life income gifts while stewarding donors through The Met William Society.
- Build and cultivate a portfolio of planned giving prospects and draft life income gift proposals.
- Manage state filings and coordinate with an outside administrator on life income gift pools.
- Maintain planned gift, donor, and prospect records and coordinate relationships requiring ongoing reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of development experience, including at least three years in planned giving.
- Experience working with legal and financial professionals, donors, trustees, and fundraising staff.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport with high-level donors and trustees.
- Thorough knowledge of deferred giving vehicles and the tax implications of outright and deferred gifts.
- Previous experience with PG Calc and knowledge of donor data.
