Lead Machine Learning Engineer - USDS (Multiple Positions)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States; onsite role

Salary: $275,850–$438,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Analyze user behavior and apply machine learning algorithms to improve content consumption and production experiences.
• Design recommendation strategies and build scalable recommendation systems for videos and livestreams.
• Develop search systems covering query understanding, result ranking, query recommendation, and system reliability.
• Build classifiers, predictive models, model-training pipelines, and scalable ML services using large and complex datasets.
• Run offline and online experiments, analyze results, and improve algorithms and product strategies.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, product managers, policy teams, and other stakeholders; mentor mid- and junior-level engineers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field plus 3 years of related experience; or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience.
• At least 3 years of experience using SQL and Spark for large-scale dataset analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience coding in Python or C++.
• At least 3 years of experience building end-to-end training pipelines with Python and Hadoop MapReduce and training large-scale deep learning and machine learning models.
• At least 3 years of experience developing prediction models using statistical methods, machine learning, and neural networks/deep learning.
• At least 3 years of experience using Python and PyTorch to build large-scale learning systems.
