Senior Software Engineer (GenAI)

Location: Paris, France — hybrid, with 3 days per week onsite and 2 days working from home

Salary: €64,000–€96,000 gross annual salary, plus short-term and collective variable compensation

What you will do

• Build and evolve reusable backend platform capabilities for GenAI applications, AI agents, knowledge retrieval, and cloud-native services.
• Design APIs, shared libraries, automation workflows, internal UIs, and back-office tools for platform resources and agent management.
• Improve the reliability, security, observability, and scalability of AWS platform services.
• Integrate GenAI capabilities including Bedrock, vector databases, knowledge bases, and agent interoperability protocols.
• Implement production-readiness patterns such as RBAC, audit logs, health checks, versioning, metrics, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering squads and product teams to turn repeated needs into reusable platform primitives.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building software products, backend systems, platform services, or cloud-native applications.
• Strong backend engineering experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js; Python is an alternative.
• Experience designing APIs, backend services, or distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider and serverless or event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, API security, enterprise identity, observability, debugging, tracing, and logging.
• English is mandatory for collaboration with international teams.

Nice to have

• Curiosity or experience with GenAI, LLM APIs, RAG, tool calling, agent orchestration, MCP, A2A, evaluation, guardrails, and vector databases.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
• React or modern frontend experience.
• Experience in an innovative, product engineering, startup-like, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
