Federal Credits and Incentives Tax Intern - Winter 2027 (Tax)

Location: Chicago; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Support tax planning and research related to R&D credits and other federal credits and incentives.
• Assist with client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and resource coordination across multiple projects.
• Draft opinion letters and other technical memoranda.
• Develop an understanding of clients’ businesses and help drive the success of R&D and federal credits engagements.
• Maintain technical competency through continuing education and professional certifications.

Requirements

• At least 90 completed credit hours.
• Currently pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, at an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, multitasking, and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
