Electrical Engineer (Radar) I

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland, United States; travel up to 5% to Navy facilities around the Washington, DC area.

Salary: $83,000–$108,000 per year, depending on experience and location, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and possible equity or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Integrate models and components into large-scale radar and combat-system simulations.
• Develop and maintain GUIs, analysis tools, and build and test automation.
• Contribute to software design and architecture, implement capabilities, and perform testing.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Port code between Windows and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with radar systems and modeling and simulation engineers on individual and team assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline with strong programming foundations.
• Minimum GPA of 3.3.
• Programming skills in C, C++, or Java.
• Interest in the Navy’s AEGIS Combat System and defense technology.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
