QA Engineering Manager (SDE 5)

What you will do

• Own the quality charter for a tribe consisting of multiple squads.
• Lead and mentor 5–10 QA Engineers, including QA Leads and SEITs.
• Create, implement, and improve test strategies, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies for web, mobile, and API products.
• Define quality criteria for production readiness and oversee project validation phases, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Establish quality metrics, prepare reports, and present results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, HOEs, HOPs, and test platform teams on incident analysis, roadmaps, timelines, estimates, and automation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• 8–12 years of relevant industry experience and experience leading medium- to large-sized teams.
• Experience with automated testing for web, mobile, or API applications using tools such as Postman, Rest-Assured, Appium, Karate, or Selenium.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, Java, or Go, plus experience with backend, web, Android, or iOS applications.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, processes, Agile or Scrum, quality metrics, OKRs, performance feedback, and appraisal processes.
