Machinist (CNC)

Location: Staples, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Salary: $31.06–$44.37 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, presses, saws, and NC/CNC/MDI equipment.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts to required tolerances and specifications.
• Apply operating principles, design limitations, and proper applications of machine tools and mechanical devices.
• Read and work from engineering drawings, machine assembly prints, equipment manuals, and vendor diagrams.
• Follow safe work methods, identify hazards, and support a strong environmental health and safety culture.

Requirements

• Completed associate degree or technical diploma or higher in Machine Tool Technology before starting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Knowledge of machining equipment, materials, mechanical devices, tolerances, and precision measurement.
• Ability to work with engineering drawings, machine prints, sketches, manuals, and diagrams.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience with basic machining equipment, including turning, milling, and welding.
• Experience with CNC, lathe, and mill equipment.
• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Mazatrol controls.
• Five years of experience with NX CAD software and CNC machining equipment.
