Data Support Analyst (Defense)

Salary: $60,000–$85,000 per year, depending on education and experience

What you will do

• Manage CADE user support, data submission planning and approvals, and data validation for weapons and automated information systems.
• Become a subject matter expert in CADE roles, workflows, cPet tools, business rules, database structures, and security features.
• Troubleshoot CSDR planning, submission, validation, metadata, voting, and access-request issues.
• Support DoD analysts with searching and exporting data into analysis-ready formats.
• Gather operational and application requirements, document specifications, business rules, and design constraints for the CADE software team.
• Develop test plans, perform regression testing, document results, and communicate changes to CADE leadership and the Help Desk.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, prioritizing requirements, or implementing software system requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, business, or science.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Secret-level security clearance required.
• Strong communication, research, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Knowledge of Mil-Std-881F and defense acquisition reporting is required for the role’s subject-matter responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Customer support and communication experience.
• R or Python experience.
• Knowledge of DoD Cost and Software Data Reporting, cost data collection, validation, and normalization.
• Knowledge of cost and relational databases.
• Ability to read and understand non-disclosure agreements.
