Product Management Development Program (PMDP) Intern (Insurance)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States; the internship program is based in Hartford, CT. Positions run from early June through the end of the summer. Subsidized apartments are available for students living beyond a commutable distance.

Salary: $26.00–$28.00 per hour, with eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Participate in a summer-long group capstone project and present the results to senior management.
• Quantify the impact of pricing and underwriting decisions.
• Analyze competitor, industry, and marketplace data.
• Research industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
• Develop underwriting guidelines and product coverage enhancements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Field Sales, Research and Development, Risk Management, Claims, and other Product Management functions.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States now and in the future.
• Visa sponsorship and support for H-1B petitions, TN status, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT are not available.
• Pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Suggested academic backgrounds include Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance, analytics, or business.
