Team Lead - SAP ABAP

What you will do

• Coordinate daily ABAP development activities, workload distribution, priorities, and team capacity across projects, support, and continuous improvement.
• Guide technical solution design and architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable, and clean-core-compliant ABAP developments.
• Coordinate deliverables, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers, functional consultants, business stakeholders, project managers, and global IT teams.
• Coach team members through onboarding, feedback, professional development, and learning opportunities.
• Define and enforce quality standards covering unit testing, code reviews, performance checks, documentation, and clean-core principles.

Requirements

• Proven SAP ABAP development experience with custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and technical leadership of ABAP teams or workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP, RICEF components, object-oriented programming, technical design, code reviews, and maintainable development standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for aligning stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, project managers, and global IT teams.
• Experience facilitating workshops and technical discussions to clarify requirements and assess solution options.
• Ability to validate, document, and challenge requirements for technical feasibility, clean-core alignment, and sustainable solution design.
