Cryptographic Engineer (AWS/PKI)

Location: On-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, or Austin, Texas, at least 4 days per week. Travel may include up to 15% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Salary: $109,202–$133,469 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain encryption key, digital certificate, remote key management, and PKI services.
• Troubleshoot operational issues for encryption key and certificate tools and services.
• Respond to client requests for encryption keys and digital certificates, including on-call support.
• Administer AWS-hosted platforms, including installation, patching, upgrades, vulnerability management, backups, builds, and data migrations.
• Manage ESKM, CipherTrust Manager, ADCS PKI, and Venafi certificate management platforms.
• Partner with cloud platform engineering, IT, and security teams to support AWS and Azure key and certificate services and maintain compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 8 years of experience in IT, computer science, engineering, or information security; or a bachelor's degree or higher and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and digital certificate management.
• Experience with AWS, encryption platforms, PKI, Microsoft ADCS, cloud certificate and key services, and Venafi.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python and familiarity with cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
