Senior Cybersecurity Encryption Engineer (PKI)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States of America; four days onsite and one day working from home per week

Salary: $106,700–$177,900 USD annually

A financial services organization operating a bank infrastructure subject to cybersecurity, risk, regulatory, and audit controls.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain PKI and encryption solutions protecting digital transactions, communications, and bank data.
• Operate PKI services, including certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and cryptographic key management.
• Drive automation of PKI processes using scripting, APIs, and security tools.
• Evaluate encryption, PKI, and cybersecurity technologies and recommend integrations and improvements.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Technology, business partners, vendors, and support teams on infrastructure design, implementation, documentation, testing, and requirements.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support compliance with risk, regulatory, audit, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience without a degree.
• Experience with PKI technologies, digital certificates, Certificate Authorities, Post-Quantum Cryptography, and Hardware Security Modules.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, algorithms, key management, encryption technologies, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting, APIs, and automation of security tasks.
• Ability to work onsite in Wilmington, Delaware four days per week.
• Preferred qualifications include 6+ years of technical engineering experience, banking-sector regulatory knowledge, relevant security certifications, and familiarity with Keyfactor, Thales, or DigiCert.
