What you will do

• Embed security requirements into the medical device development lifecycle, partnering with R&D and systems teams.
• Perform system-level threat modeling (STRIDE), attack surface analysis, and vulnerability assessments for connected devices.
• Review and implement secure boot, root of trust, and secure firmware/software update mechanisms.
• Apply modern cryptographic principles and support forward-looking quantum-resistant strategies.
• Integrate security into agile design reviews, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure alignment with FDA premarket cybersecurity guidance, IEC 81001-5-1, and ISO 14971 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience (or 2+ years with an advanced degree).
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical device cybersecurity and FDA cybersecurity submissions.
• Knowledge of IEC 81001-5-1 and ISO 14971.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or Security+.
• Background in IoT or embedded device security.
