Mammography Technologist - Per Diem

Location: Onsite across Lawrence Memorial Hospital, MelroseWakefield Breast Health Center, 830 Main Street in Melrose, and 30 New Crossing in Reading

Pay range: $48.60–$61.96 per hour

What you will do

• Perform mammography exams and procedures independently according to department policies and ACR/MQSA standards.
• Verify patients, procedures, imaging protocols, scanner parameters, and required documentation.
• Provide clear instructions to patients and maintain patient and staff safety during examinations.
• Perform equipment and device quality control, maintain supplies, and keep work areas clean and functional.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and service lines.
• Participate in ongoing education, teach students, and support new technologists as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
• Radiologic Technologist and Mammography Technologist certifications from ARRT.
• Radiologic Technologist state license or eligibility for licensure.
• At least two years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to stand frequently, walk, lift 30–35 pounds, operate radiology equipment, and work around bodily fluids and communicable diseases.

Nice to have

• X-ray experience.
