What you will do

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and layouts for new and existing products.
  • Conduct time studies, process capability studies, and value stream mapping to identify improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process control plans.
  • Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability and design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage capital equipment projects from specification and procurement through installation and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role; automotive experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to collaborate with quality assurance and production personnel while ensuring safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
