What you will do

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain documentation for software, systems engineering, operations, testing, and end users.
• Write configuration, how-to, implementation, code, field, data definition, and data-flow documentation.
• Develop user guides, operations manuals, technical publications, training materials, reports, responses, and briefings.
• Gather technical information from developers, technical personnel, drawings, and other source materials.
• Maintain the internal documentation library and coordinate document layout and design.
• Use word-processing and presentation tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph is an example of the required clearance.
• Two years of technical writing experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• An associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required; two additional years of technical writing experience may substitute for the degree.
• Basic grammar knowledge and the ability to write technical copy for different document types.
