Manager, Aerial Planning & Operations

Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

hirify.global is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee delivering the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

What you will do

• Lead coordination with local authorities, civil aviation regulators, airports, heliports, and public safety agencies to secure airspace permissions and operational clearances.
• Navigate city, regional, and federal requirements to establish flight paths for official Games coverage involving helicopters, drones, and fixed-wing aircraft.
• Develop and maintain the Master Aerial Operations Schedule in alignment with event schedules and Olympic Broadcast Services requirements.
• Coordinate with the hirify.global Aerial Task Force, aviation providers, OBS, broadcast partners, security agencies, and cross-functional operations teams.
• Work in the Master Control Room during the Games to monitor aerial missions, resolve incidents, and support real-time decision-making.
• Coordinate risk-management responses and escalate safety, compliance, flight-status, and airspace issues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Preferably 7 or more years of experience in large-scale event planning, broadcast operations, or aviation coordination.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance processes and timelines.
• Experience building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and working across multiple functional areas.
• Experience coordinating with third parties.
• Must be based in Los Angeles, California, United States; relocation assistance is not provided.
