TL;DR
Associate, Sport Schedules & Services (Olympic and Paralympic Games): Developing and validating detailed competition and training schedules, sport entries, contingency plans, and weather-service planning documentation with an accent on cross-functional coordination and partner integration. Focus on managing the central Schedule Management Application, integrating sport activities into the Detailed Competition Activities Schedule, and coordinating deliverables with IOC, IPC, OBS, Omega, and other delivery partners.

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; in-person attendance required

Annual base salary: $70,500–$82,000.

LA28 is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you will do

  • Develop and validate Olympic and Paralympic competition and training schedules, including the Detailed Competition Activities Schedule.
  • Manage the central Schedule Management Application and ensure schedule visibility across internal functions and delivery partners.
  • Coordinate sport-specific activities with Sport Presentation and Victory Ceremonies teams.
  • Support sport policies, Games-time contingency plans, weather-service planning, and the IOC/IPC delay, postponement, advancement, and cancellation policy.
  • Support the sport entries project, cross-functional integration, operating plans, and project management of key IOC deliverables.
  • Prepare sport presentations, reports, planning documents, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in stakeholder and project management, ideally in the sports industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and project deliverables in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Fluent use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and their respective Movements.
  • Background in sport and/or event management.
