What you will do

• Deliver nursing care to patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders in a six-bed emergency behavioral crisis unit.
• Provide de-escalation and crisis management under provider supervision.
• Create a therapeutic, caring environment for patients and families.
• Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, and communicate plans across shifts and care settings.
• Apply evidence-based practice, national and specialty standards, clinical decision-making, and critical thinking.
• Optionally cross-train on Pathways.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an ASN or BSN; BSN preferred.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain it during employment; ACLS preferred.
• Complete aggression de-escalation training approved by Elliot Health System.
