Sport Manager, Rowing Coastal Beach Sprints

Location: On-site in Los Angeles, California, United States. International, domestic, and local travel is required, typically 20% or less of working hours, with increased travel as 2028 approaches. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Annual base salary: $88,000–$108,000.

hirify.global is organizing the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

What you will do

• Lead operational planning for Rowing Coastal Beach Sprints at the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
• Coordinate with World Rowing, venue teams, infrastructure, and event management on competition and training venue design.
• Refine Event Operating Plans and validate equipment requirements with World Rowing.
• Develop competition and training schedules and integrate requirements with timing, scoring, results systems, and infrastructure.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, strategy, and daily management of the competition workforce and Belmont Shore Sport team.
• Manage federation site visits, brief senior Sport leadership, and lead testing and Games-time delivery.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of leadership experience delivering national- and international-level Rowing Coastal Beach Sprints events.
• Extensive knowledge of Rowing Coastal Beach Sprints and event operations across multiple levels.
• Experience coordinating with international and United States sport governing bodies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, assertiveness, and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, including variable hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event periods.

Nice to have

• Olympic and Paralympic sport experience at a previous OCOG or multi-sport Games.
• Experience delivering international-federation events.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to manage change effectively.
