Services Lead, Modern Pentathlon

Location: Onsite in the Downtown Los Angeles office, Los Angeles, California, United States. Work may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoor event conditions. hirify.global does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $73,000–$98,000.

hirify.global is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate administrative and stakeholder services for Modern Pentathlon athletes, UIPM representatives, technical officials, and national delegations.
• Coordinate services including accommodation, transportation, accreditation, hospitality, offices, meeting spaces, catering, dressing rooms, and preparation areas.
• Manage sport information and maintain databases, tracking documents, schedules, transport plans, training worksheets, and sport manuals.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage full-time staff, national technical officials, and sport-specific volunteers.
• Support the planning and delivery of multi-discipline test events and Olympic competition operations across Fencing, Swimming, Obstacle, and Laser Run.
• Resolve preparation- and Games Time issues with UIPM and hirify.global functional areas across the multi-discipline venue footprint.

Requirements

• Experience working with national and international sport federations at domestic or international events.
• Knowledge of operational planning for major sporting events, especially complex schedules, multiple disciplines, and dynamic venue transitions.
• Experience managing staff and volunteers at major events and coordinating multiple projects with numerous stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management, timeline tracking, report writing, presentation materials, and project management tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential, and availability for onsite work in Los Angeles is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in international, multi-sport, or multi-discipline events.
• Knowledge of the Olympic Games and Modern Pentathlon technical requirements.
• Experience with international or national sport federation structures and operations.
• Long-term interest and involvement in Olympic sports.
