Sport Manager - Flag Football

Location: Onsite in Los Angeles, California, United States. International, domestic, and local travel is required for federation and NGB events and venue site visits. hirify.global does not provide relocation assistance.

Annual base salary: $88,000–$115,000.

hirify.global is an independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee delivering the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you will do

• Lead operational planning and delivery for the Olympic Flag Football Tournament.
• Serve as the Flag Football subject-matter expert and primary liaison with the International Federation of American Football.
• Coordinate competition and training venue design with Venues and Infrastructure, Event Management, and other functional areas.
• Develop event operating plans, validate equipment requirements, and coordinate competition and training schedules.
• Design the Competition Management workforce structure, including roles and hiring, and lead recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day operations.
• Manage federation site visits, Sport Delivery Plan inputs, and senior-leadership briefings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience delivering national- and international-level sporting events in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of Flag Football and a clear understanding of its international federation rules and regulations.
• Experience coordinating with international and US sport governing bodies, including IFAF.
• Experience recruiting, training, and leading a large, diverse sporting-event workforce.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Olympic and Paralympic sport experience at a previous OCOG or multi-sport Games.
• Experience delivering international-federation events.
• Experience planning sport programs for diverse athlete groups.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
