Case Manager - Rare Disease- West Coast Remote (Rare Disease)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is Phoenix, Arizona. Up to 20% travel required.

Salary: $81,851.60–$110,740.40 per year

What you will do

• Oversee patient customer service issues involving insurance, specialty pharmacies, and patient support programs.
• Coordinate with regional business managers, patient access liaisons, medical science liaisons, hubs, pharmacies, medical offices, patients, and families to secure therapy access.
• Manage prior authorizations, denials, appeals, reauthorizations, overrides, billing problems, and other reimbursement hurdles.
• Maintain case histories and track insurance approvals, reimbursement, patient status, and therapy shipping for U.S. patients.
• Report adverse events and product complaints through medical information and partner with Safety and Pharmacovigilance.
• Identify adherence and reimbursement trends, advise on insurance and financial assistance programs, and report progress and roadblocks.

Requirements

• Master’s degree; or bachelor’s degree with 2 years of case management experience; or associate’s degree with 6 years of case management experience; or high school diploma/GED with 8 years of case management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to resolve multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to learn product and disease information and familiarity with HIPAA and FDA requirements.
• Ability to coordinate communication across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Remote work within the United States and up to 20% travel are required.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• 2+ years of prior case management experience.
