RPA & Agentic AI Software Technologies Intern - Summer 2027 (Agentic AI)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, United States; the 10-week summer internship runs from early June through mid-August in a Chicagoland corporate office.

Salary: $23.25–$33.75 hourly.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support RPA solutions using UiPath.
• Assist with AI-powered and agentic automation solutions that interpret information, make decisions, orchestrate tasks, and interact with enterprise systems.
• Work with Microsoft AI and automation technologies, including Microsoft Agent Framework, Copilot Studio, Foundry, and App Insights.
• Integrate AI agents, RPA bots, APIs, applications, databases, and enterprise systems into end-to-end workflows.
• Develop and evaluate proofs of concept for emerging AI and automation technologies.
• Analyze business processes, gather requirements, document solutions, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Rising senior or junior-standing undergraduate student with a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong interest in automation, artificial intelligence, RPA, or intelligent automation.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, application integration, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to real-world problems.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, C#, UiPath, Copilot Studio, or similar platforms.
• Coursework or interest in generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or AI agents.
