Intern - Agentic AI Systems (AI)

Location: LSV. Requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States.

Base pay range: $0, with possible variable or incentive compensation and/or equity.

What you will do

• Design and implement agentic AI workflows covering planning, reasoning, tool usage, and memory management.
• Build multi-agent systems, orchestration flows, and prototype pipelines using LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Evaluate agent behavior, performance, reliability, and failure modes.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve system robustness, scalability, and observability.
• Prepare system documentation, design notes, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master's degree or PhD in computer science or artificial intelligence.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Understanding of basic machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing concepts.
• Familiarity with LLM concepts such as prompting, embeddings, and context windows.
• Understanding of software system design fundamentals and the ability to learn new frameworks and tools quickly.
• Must provide satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain.
• Experience with workflow orchestration or state machines.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning basics, LLM fine-tuning, and vector or graph databases.
• Prior internship or project experience in AI/ML systems.
