Head of Operations MGA & Facilities (Hybrid; m/f/x/d) Make an impact

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week.

Base salary in Spain: €63,000–€105,000 per year, plus performance-based variable compensation and applicable benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the global operational framework and target operating model for MGA and Facilities activities.
• Own operational readiness assessments and oversee onboarding execution for new MGA and Facilities partnerships.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence and renewal readiness across Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Outsourcing, Finance, and Technology.
• Provide senior management with transparency on onboarding status, controls, remediation, data quality, and operational risks.
• Guide globally distributed local MGA Operations teams of approximately 8–10 people and promote consistent governance and operating standards.
• Drive process optimization, automation, data, and Generative AI initiatives to improve operational scalability and reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance operations, delegated authority, MGA management, Facilities business, or underwriting operations.
• In-depth knowledge of MGA and Facilities business models and delegated authority operations.
• Experience with governance, operational controls, regulatory requirements, outsourcing frameworks, and risk management in a global insurance environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead operational transformation, process improvement, and organizational change in complex matrixed organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience influencing senior leaders across functions and geographies.
• Fluency in English is required.

• Experience using technology, data, automation, and Generative AI to improve operational workflows and reporting.
• Experience working across global teams and diverse cultural environments.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
