Staff Software Engineer (AI Engineer)

Location: Singapore. At least 3 days in the office are required.

What you will do

• Build agentic AI workflows for threat investigation, alert triage, security automation, vulnerability analysis, and security decision-making.
• Convert ambiguous product ideas and prototypes into secure, maintainable, production-grade AI systems.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, AI orchestration, data pipelines, and cloud-native software components.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, translating findings into product features, implementation patterns, and technical standards.
• Support deployment, monitoring, debugging, operational reliability, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and automated testing.
• Provide technical guidance through architecture and code reviews, documentation, mentoring, and collaboration with product, security, solution engineering, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI engineering and software engineering, including 3+ years building AI/ML, LLM-based, automation, data-driven, or intelligent production systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications, agentic AI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, embeddings, tool calling, context management, and model evaluation.
• Strong programming ability in at least two languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, or Rust.
• Experience with backend services, APIs, data pipelines, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and secure software development.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common vulnerabilities, secure AI architecture, prompt injection, data leakage, hallucinations, adversarial inputs, unsafe tool execution, and excessive permissions.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure and familiarity with containers, serverless services, managed databases, event-driven systems, queues, object storage, cloud identity, IAM, and secrets management.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with cybersecurity products, SOC tools, SIEM/SOAR integrations, cloud security, identity security, threat intelligence, or incident response workflows.
• Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, observability platforms, secrets management, or cloud-native security.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
• Experience working in early-stage product, startup, innovation, or product incubation teams.
