Operations Specialist (Runge, TX)

Location: Onsite in Runge, Texas, United States. Travel, emergency callouts, overtime, and work in extreme weather and confined or elevated areas may be required.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, measurement equipment, and auxiliary systems.
• Install, repair, service, and diagnose pipeline equipment, corrosion control systems, seals, instruments, and related facilities.
• Maintain pipeline rights-of-way, gathering and storage areas, buildings, grounds, and other site infrastructure.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train or coordinate company and contractor personnel.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, USFS, safety, environmental, documentation, and record-keeping activities.
• Respond to operational callouts and emergencies, identify safety concerns, and support operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer and math skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to organize and complete work with limited supervision and collaborate with customers, suppliers, operations groups, engineering, and management.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, enter confined spaces, climb and work from elevated platforms, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check before employment.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, or pump maintenance experience.
