Staff Accountant

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze information for general ledger entries and journal entries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and domestic and foreign bank accounts.
• Research and resolve reconciling items and prepare supporting summary reports.
• Calculate and accrue sales and use taxes across various states by reviewing vendor invoices.
• Support fixed asset record updates, reconciliations, and sub-tenant monthly billing.
• Research and prepare schedules for annual audits and complete additional accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with an Accounting emphasis, or related experience.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in a general ledger systems environment.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, problem-solving, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial information and reports, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in a large legal or professional services environment.
• Experience with Aderant Expert and/or Sage FAS.
