Project Manager - Engineering (Sr)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid work arrangement with approximately 25% travel across a broad geographic region.

What you will do

• Manage the development and execution of natural gas facility and pipeline projects, including transmission, compression, storage, gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
• Define project scopes, prepare cost estimates, and establish project controls.
• Lead multidisciplinary internal and external project teams, coordinating with engineering, planning, operations, environmental, legal, land, and certification functions.
• Maintain project documentation and compliance with corporate, federal, state, and other governing requirements.
• Communicate project proposals, status, goals, and objectives to management, business sponsors, agencies, customers, and the public.
• Manage schedules, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, safety, reliability, quality, and environmental and human-impact mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• Preferred discipline: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of direct experience in engineering or managing midstream natural gas facility and pipeline projects is preferred.
• Understanding of upstream, midstream, and downstream projects and the Gas Pipeline business segment.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, teamwork, project-management, and budget-management skills; a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Experience engineering and designing compressor stations, pipelines, and meter stations for mainline gas transmission.
• Understanding of economic analysis for project justification.
• Experience in the mainline gas transmission industry.
