Fundamental Trading Analyst (Clean Products and Renewables)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Relocation is available; estimated travel is less than 10%.

What you will do

• Maintain global clean products and renewables supply-demand and balance models covering production, refining demand, inventories, and trade flows.
• Analyze market differentials, quality impacts, regional pricing benchmarks, and arbitrage opportunities.
• Deliver market intelligence, regular updates, and forward-looking analysis to trading, scheduling, and origination teams.
• Identify commercial opportunities, market dislocations, risks, and structural shifts.
• Translate complex market dynamics into actionable strategies using modeling, visualization, and analytical tools.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of market databases, models, and reporting while communicating findings clearly to commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, economics, engineering, marine, or a related discipline.
• Five or more years of experience in commercial, risk, trading analytics, marine, scheduling, or marketing roles.
• Knowledge of commodity and clean products and renewables supply-demand fundamentals, including production, refining, inventories, and global trade patterns.
• Experience with analytical modeling, scenario analysis, visualization tools, and large datasets such as AIS, market data feeds, or pricing services.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and collaborate with traders, schedulers, origination teams, and other commercial partners.

Nice to have

• Exposure to clean products and renewables markets, tankers, dry bulk, LNG/LPG, or comparable physical logistics and supply chain analytics.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
