Resource Nurse (Adult Step Down Unit)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States. Full-time night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with every third weekend and four designated holiday shifts per year.

hirify.global’s Elliot Health System is opening a 12-bed Adult Stepdown Unit with private rooms, ceiling lifts, supply carts, substantial telemetry monitoring, and a dedicated medication room.

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care and serve as the immediate clinical resource for staff on the assigned unit and shift.
• Oversee shift operations, including patient flow, unit tasks, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient satisfaction, issue resolution, and occurrence reporting.
• Lead, coach, and mentor nursing staff while supporting new graduate nurses during their first year after orientation.
• Assist staff with patient care, assume a partial patient assignment, and collaborate with medical staff and clinical leadership.
• Address urgent staffing, scheduling, disciplinary, operational, and clinical issues when the Clinical Nurse Manager is unavailable.
• Support shared governance and quality improvement outcomes while helping control the economical use of personnel, materials, and equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required, or active enrollment in a BSN program with degree completion required for continued eligibility.
• At least three years of current experience in a progressive, intermediate, or critical care setting, with proficiency in nursing practice.
• Previous leadership experience, such as Charge Nurse experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a Compact Nursing License required.
• Current BLS authorization required; specialty certification required within six months of eligibility.
