Registered Nurse - Adult Step Down - Full Time - Day/Night Rotator

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire, United States; onsite day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend rotation.

Sign-on bonus up to $15,000, paid in 3, 6, and 12 months.

What you will do

• Provide nursing care for acutely ill, moderately complex medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, and psychiatric patients.
• Perform close patient observation, assessment, intervention, and monitoring in a progressive-care setting.
• Involve patients and families in goal setting and care planning, and communicate plans across shifts and care settings.
• Recognize and manage rapidly changing clinical situations using clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Apply current evidence and national and specialty standards to clinical practice and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support unit operations and maintain accountability for ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience; telemetry experience and dysrhythmia management are preferred.
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain it throughout employment; ACLS is preferred.
• Pursue professional certification when eligible or within three years of entering specialty practice.
• Ability to develop basic computer skills as health system software and hardware systems evolve.
