Operations Specialist, Level 1-4 (Gas Pipelines): Operating and maintaining gas pipeline compressor stations, process equipment, engines, pumps, valves, and related facilities with an accent on equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and field safety. Focus on diagnosing mechanical issues, responding to emergencies, overseeing maintenance and construction work, and maintaining pipeline infrastructure in demanding outdoor conditions.

What you will do
- Operate engines, pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, process equipment, and related station and pipeline systems.
- Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, pipeline, corrosion-control, and measurement equipment.
- Maintain facilities, pipeline rights-of-way, storage areas, and associated infrastructure, including excavation, coating, concrete work, painting, and weed control.
- Respond to callouts and emergencies, identify safety and environmental concerns, and participate in safety programs.
- Represent the company with landowners, tenants, public officials, emergency officials, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee third-party construction and maintenance, train personnel, complete compliance activities, and maintain operational records and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills, including use of MS Office and company software.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Ability to respond to after-hours callouts and emergencies, work overtime, travel as required, and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work in extreme weather, confined spaces, elevated or excavated areas, low-lit areas, and to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and complete a background check before employment.
Nice to have
- Experience reading blueprints and diagrams.
- Knowledge of flammable-gas handling, pressure systems, compressor engines, pumps, pipelines, or compression operations.
