What you will do

• Design, test, and implement high-speed IP router-based technologies in an ISP or equivalent environment.
• Work with IP routing protocols and related network services, including TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, IPv6, CIDR, UDP, TFTP, DHCP, NAT/PAT, DNS, and DOCSIS.
• Configure and support Cisco routers running IOS-XR and Juniper routers running JUNOS.
• Implement and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching, with preferred exposure to Metro Ethernet and MPLS services.
• Support multiple tasks and projects while collaborating effectively across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience and self-study may substitute.
• 3–6 years of direct experience designing, testing, and implementing high-speed IP router-based technology.
• IP routing and Cisco IOS-XR experience are required.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers and their operating systems.
• Working knowledge of the OSI model and Layer 2 switching.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Nice to have

• JNTCP, CCNA, or CCNP certification.
• Experience with Metro Ethernet, MPLS, TDM/Cellular Backhaul, DOCSIS, multicast using PIM or IGMP, and CMTS systems.
