What you will do

• Build, install, and repair electrical and electronic circuits used on machine tools and plant equipment.
• Test faulty equipment and diagnose malfunctions in electrical units and systems.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, electronic counters, recorders, and other testing instruments.
• Calibrate and service electronic testing instruments.
• Troubleshoot motors, transformers, communication devices, electronic controllers, industrial robots, welders, and overhead lifting equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on complex electrical and electronic manufacturing systems.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with PLCs, electronic controls, and PLC logic.
• Education or equivalent preparation through a related college degree, electrical apprenticeship, technical school, previous experience, or military training.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills.
