Manager, Corporate Accounting

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Salary: $95,000–$140,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead the corporate accounting team responsible for general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with US GAAP, internal policies, and internal control requirements.
• Review journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, sub-ledgers, fixed assets, accounts receivable, bank activity, and WIP analysis.
• Oversee monthly reporting, quarterly GAAP financials, board reports, consolidation, intercompany transactions, and balance-sheet flux analysis.
• Develop accounting strategies, standard operating procedures, policies, and chart-of-accounts structures.
• Train and mentor team members while managing departmental workload, capacity, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2+ years as an accounting manager or in a similar managerial role.
• CPA license highly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Oracle FCC, Oracle ARC, and JD Edwards.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, time-management, and prioritization skills.
