Tax Senior Associate (SALT)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States — 100 South Ashley Dr; full-time, with no remote or hybrid arrangement stated.

Salary: $81,900–$114,350 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare and review state and local income and franchise tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support tax consulting on state income and franchise taxes, sales taxes, mergers and acquisitions, nexus, and filing positions.
• Research complex state tax laws and regulations, including legislative and case law developments.
• Analyze client data to identify filing obligations, tax exposures, and planning opportunities.
• Support state tax audits, notices, and controversy matters while communicating findings to clients and internal teams.
• Manage multiple client engagements, contribute to business development, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of public accounting or industry experience focused on multi-state income and franchise tax compliance and consulting.
• Strong time management, communication, analytical thinking, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across teams.
• Possession of or active progress toward a Bar membership, CPA, enrolled agent, or IPT certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; tax compliance software experience is advantageous.
